I found the Squid, www.LaughingSquid.net while browsing on WordPress.org. It was a time of need. A need for a NEW, responsive hosting service that didn’t bog down as if they were delivering content over dial-up. I contacted some of the Squid’s customers and received some very favorable replies. Some web’masters’ stated that they have been with the Squid for 10 years. Now, that is loyalty to a hosting service doing ‘something’ right. Lucky me to come across Laughing Squid. I was looking for a host that I would feel comfortable with that would also feel comfortable with me…someone totally new to making a site.
I own an educational nfp and had no bucks to have someone make my site. So, I had to make my own…and like all first time webmasters I’ve made a few loopy mistakes. Thank goodness for the talented people here who have helped me out when I’ve been completely bewildered by my own errors–they have steered me in the right direction. I don’t think I could have/would have been invited to join their group if my website wasn’t hosted reliably….I wouldn’t have even had the guts to let them know I existed. I found out about Laughing Squid six years ago during the last of my unbelievably frustrating encounters with a string of other web hosters. My last other hoster’s tech support guy had finally given up on my problem in despair and given me the e-mail address of one my fellow customers who had had a similar problem, thinking maybe he’d be able to help me!
